Informatics Makes its Rapid Growth in Vietnam

Informatics has continued in its expansion to the Vietnam market through its partnership with Sinviet Informatics Ltd, a fully foreign owned establishment in Vietnam, which operates the training centre, Informatics of Singapore Centre of Learning (ISCOL) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Through the training centre, Informatics will offer degree, diploma and certificate programmes in IT for individuals.

Mr S.Subramaniam, Centre Director for ISCOL, is confident of boosting growth to a higher level as Informatics expands its network. He said, “Most recently, ISCOL have entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with Information Technology College (ITC) to integrate Informatics' Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Computing programme into the curriculum for ITC’s students.  We see external cooperation as one of our key plans for growth in Vietnam. We are also in discussion with Vietnam National University and Economic University, two of the largest universities in Vietnam, for running some of our programmes with them.”

“This agreement is an essence to Informatics’s global network,” expressed Mr Dennis Foo, Vice President for Global Higher Education.  "We have a strong partner with expertise, resources and commitment and I am confident that ISCOL and ITC will establish and deliver our education and training business in Vietnam," added on Mr Foo.

The students of ISCOL scored outstanding results in the Diploma in Computer Studies examinations, with 100% passes and 70% distinctions for two terms since its first cohort of students. Mr Subramaniam attributed the results to sound fundamentals and methodologies, dedication of lecturers and board of management, as well as high investment in facilities.  “ISCOL has recently employed a psychologist for soft skill training of the students, so as to give them an edge over others in the job market. I am confident that “over the coming years, we will build on the foundations for sustainable high quality teaching,” remarked Mr Subramaniam.

By offering Informatics comprehensive IT training and education, ISCOL will provide exciting, innovative IT training and education programmes for the young generation and lifelong learners in Vietnam.
