Informatics Collaborates with ASMI University in Jakarta

August 2004 marks a historical moment for Informatics Thamrin Centre, one of Informatics’ 20 centres in Indonesia, as it signed its first ever School Integration Programme (SIP) with a university—ASMI University which has a student population of around 5,000 students in various departmental studies.  The areas of integration include the adoption of the Informatics curriculum into the different courses of ASMI University with its college-going students as the main beneficiaries.

ASMI University President Ms. Angelica Tengker and Informatics Thamrin Managing Director Mr. Hermanto Murniadi sign the SIP agreement as Informatics Indonesia, General Manager, Mr Fred Utanes and Ms. Tengker’s Operations Assistant witness the signing.

The SIP agreement was signed by Informatics Thamrin’s Managing Director, Mr. Hermanto Murniadi, and ASMI University President, Ms. Angelica Tengker. It was held in a simple but lively ceremony in the university with the latter’s faculty members and staff as well as Informatics management and staff attending.

Informatics Indonesia, PT Lifelong Learnings Indonesia, General Manager,Mr. Fred Utanes, who was there to render moral support to Mr. Hermanto and his Informatics Thamrin staff, stated that this collaboration could only be the start of a strong relationship with Informatics and the university as there are numerous areas where Informatics’ international standards, particularly in Higher Education, could enhance ASMI’s curriculum offerings. Among these are the Foundation programme, English Proficiency programmes, diploma, advanced diploma and degree programmes. With this SIP, the university literally enhances its image into an institution with educational standards that is of international quality.

Informatics Indonesia,General Manager Mr Fred Utanes, Informatics Thamrin Managing Director Mr. Hermanto Murniadi, ASMI University President Ms. Angelica Tengker and other ASMI staff pose to immortalize the start of a strong institutional relationship.

ASMI University is only one of the 3 new SIP’s that Informatics Indonesia has recently signed within the past 3 months.
