IPDC Jakarta Signs an Exclusive Agreement with EC-Council

Informatics Professional Development Centre (IPDC) Jakarta signs an exclusive agreement with EC-Council (the International Council of Electronic Commerce Consultants) based in New York, USA.  IPDC Jakarta is part of the Informatics network in Indonesia which has close to 20 ICS centres in 13 cities in the country and has been in operations since 1988.  EC-Council is the US-based organisation that has the good reputation of hosting e-Commerce consultants internationally and for providing IT security courses and doing certifications in this field.

The exclusive agreement provides for IPDC Jakarta to continue providing training and certification in the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) course as well as other IT Security programmes in the market that it serves.  The exclusivity arrangement is the result of IPDC Jakarta’s ability to provide massive awareness of EC-Council courses in Jakarta and the rest of Indonesia like what it has been able to do in the previous months.  While the first few courses of CEH has been running in Jakarta since only the first part of this year, there are already closed to 60 graduates of the course and close to half of this number are already certified.

IPDC Jakarta draws crowds by the hundreds during one of its major marketing campaigns to introduce the CEH.  Scores of smaller seminars of this kind and hacking demos are conducted once every 2 to 3 weeks.

According to Mr. Fred Utanes, GM of Informatics Indonesia, PT Lifelong Learnings Indonesia based in Jakarta, “IPDC Jakarta’s commitment to provide quality IT and professional training to the Indonesian community stems from the belief that the need of the country in the areas of certification courses is still just in its introductory stage. Matching this requirement with Informatics’ international standards in professional training through its accreditation from globally acclaimed certification institutions like EC-Council, the Indonesian business along with its professionals are bound to reap the economic benefits.”

Active audience participation in IT Security seminars is commonplace. This manifests the overwhelming interest of the public in such IPDC Jakarta – EC Council course offerings.

The other EC-Council courses that IPDC Jakarta offers aside from CEH are the CHFI (Certified Hacking Forensic Investigator) and PMP (Project Management Programme).  These are programmes that address some of the pressing needs of businesses in Indonesia as they cover areas of IT securities and management. As such, IPDC Jakarta’s exclusivity agreement with EC-Council is a timely and fitting arrangement that caters to what the Indonesian market really requires.

Awareness of IPDC Jakarta’s EC-Council courses proliferate various business establishments, educational institutions, as well as government agencies. This is due to IPDC Jakarta’s aggressive efforts through both massive and brief seminars and hacking demonstrations, institutional tie-ups with prominent organizations, as well as traditional marketing approaches.
