Informatics and Northumbria University Offers the Best Employment for Graduates in Electrical and Electronics Engineering


According to a recent survey done on degreehunter.com, engineering job opportunities generally are expected to be good through 2010 because the number of engineering degrees granted is not expected to increase significantly over the 2000-10 period.

Engineering Job Assessment:
· Engineering job opportunities are expected to be good overall, but to vary by engineering job specialty.
· A bachelor's engineering degree is required for most entry-level engineering jobs.
· Starting engineering salaries are significantly higher than those of college graduates in other fields.
· Continuing education is critical to keep abreast of the latest technology.

The chart below details that out of the employment statistics in the various fields of engineering, Electrical engineering jobs emerged top in the engineering employment, garnering a high of 20 percent. This is followed by Civil and Mechanical Engineering hovering close to 15 percent.
