About the Programme

The Info-Comm Technology course focuses in the wireless and communications technology and qualifies learners for a career in networking and wireless programming in e-Commerce, industry or public sector. It allows learners to complement their studies with options in Communication Engineering, Multimedia Communication, Business Communication and Database Management.

In this course, you will find modules that focus on three areas:
Software - Client/Server (Distributed Application)
Media - Physical, Wireless and Bluetooth
Architecture - LAN, WAN, Internet

This will enable learners to develop information for distributed application and its communication in the most efficient manner using the latest technology.

This course aims to provide learners with knowledge from 4 areas such as e-commerce applications, wireless technology, network development and programming skills. Its objectives include:

You will receive an international tertiary qualification awarded by an independent awarding body, which has its location in the United Kingdom, the United Statesand Singapore. This certification will not only be equivalent to that awarded by any tertiary institutions, but seeks to offer international recognition both in terms of credit transfer and employment opportunities.

All modules covered are closely related to the key skills required for the Computing/IT industry. The modules go into sufficient depth to ensure that students are well-prepared to handle tasks applicable to these softwares.

ProgrammeDuration

The course may be completed in 12 months which consist of 3 terms. Students are recommended to take 3-4 modules per term.

Assessment Structure

  • For theory modules, students are assessed based on coursework, examinations or projects.
  • For practical modules, students are assessed based on presentation & dissertation / project components.
  • Students need to pass all components in order to pass the module.
  • Examinations are typically conducted in the months of April, August and December respectively.
