About Informatics Academy

The Informatics Academy has been institutionalized to ensure that its award, bearing the quality assurance mark, will be recognised and accepted by employers and universities for employment and transfer credit respectively.

The Informatics Academic Governance is the backbone on which the quality of our awards is judged. Collectively, the Academic Council interacts with the International Advisory Panel and thereby empowers Examination Council and Examination Board the authority to grant the Informatics Academy awards.

Represented by a group of respected and experienced academic leaders drawn from universities in the United Kingdom, Australia and the United States of America, each member of the International Advisory Panel brings with them a wide range of educational leadership and management experience. The Academic Council is responsible for the academic affairs for Institute of Information and Communication Technology, Institute of Business, Finance and Management, Institute of Engineering and Institute of Knowledge Economy.

IT201 Operating Systems (Win2000 Professional)
This module will cover the following areas:

  • Installing Windows 2000
  • Managing Windows 2000 File Systems and Storage
  • Windows 2000 Security and Access Controls
  • Win 2K Network Environment, Protocols, Workgroups, Domains, and Browsing
  • Internetworking with NetWare and Remote Access Service (RAS)
  • Windows NT Application Support
  • Working with the Windows 2000 Registry

IT202 C Programming
This module will cover the following areas:

  • Building A C Program
  • Structural Constructs

IT204 Visual Basic.Net
This module will cover the following areas:

  • Use Visual Basic programming environment for maximum productivity when developing applications
  • Build simple components
  • Write reliable, maintainable code in the Basic programming language used in Visual Basic
  • Use Visual Basic as a client/server development tool
  • Make informed decisions about data access methods
  • Build and use ActiveX components
  • Deploy reusable business objects in a three-tier environment

IT206 Web Publishing with HTML, JavaScript & Java Applets
This module will cover the following areas:

IT210 Essentials of Ecommerce (Practical component included)

IT211 Structured Query Language (Oracle)
This module will cover the following areas:
