Mechanical Engineering
(Major)
The Mechanical Engineering major aims to equip
students, with the skills which are crucial to
the development and manufacture of efficient,
economical and reliable products. Mechanical Engineering
is an intellectually challenging profession. It
involves developing new products and processes,
designing new machines and devices and developing
better manufacturing methods and systems.

mature candidates:
- Mature applicants who do not possess any standard
qualifications but with more than 5 years of working
experience may be considered for admission on
a case-by-case basis.
- Holders of other relevant qualifications will
be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Advanced
Standings
- Polytechnic Diploma holders will be granted
up to 16 unit block exemptions from the full three-year
programme.
- Exemption evaluation is on a case-by-case basis
subject to the University's approval.
