The Academic Board is a body comprising of senior academics in the Informatics Education Ltd and its main objective is to provide and continuously improve on the academic and standards governance within the entire Informatics group. It is also tasked with the auditing power for the group¡¯s conformance to these specifications, and to take the appropriate action(s) to correct deviation, if any.

The appointment of membership to the Board is based on the individual¡¯s experience in the tertiary education industry, and although the Board members come from various functions in the Group, they are knowledgeable individuals who will contribute in the rigorous discussion academically during the Board meetings.

The Board serves as the forum for the final review and discussion of policies, procedures and practices that involve collaboration and coordination among and between the academic schools and divisions.

It will set up clear leadership, guidelines and directions in academic and standards matters and communicate this to all the employees and public of the academic and standards matters of the group.


Terms of Reference for the Academic Board
The Academic Board provides input on the academic matters from developing the academic framework, formulating academic policies to devising strategic plans for the academic curriculum development.

This also includes the Company's Quality Assurance systems, procedures for the development and approval of academic programmes. It is expected to meet monthly, or, via electronic means of communication.

In the event of the need for voting, a sample majority of members will be used for decision making.

Duration of the term
The members of the Board will usually sit for a term of 2 years, with the option for renewal by invitation from the Chair of the Board.

Examination Board
The Examinations Board takes charge of matters relating to examinations & assessments, ensuring that the integrity and quality of assessments meet the highest standard. The scope of responsibilities of the Examination Board include, but are not limited to, the following coverage:

• Standard & integrity of examination / assessment conduct
• Development of examination / assessment procedures
• Implementation of approved examination / assessments rules, policies and procedures
• Evaluates appeals and unfair practices (if any)
