"I signed up for this programme because I could complete the entire course online, giving me the opportunity to work full time and plan my studying time. The costs of the programme were reasonable for getting a degree directly from the University of Portsmouth.

I have gained good expertise in all the modules that I have completed during my course . I would like to point out that my lectures were absolutely brilliant and I thank them for all their assistance. I could not have completed the programme without their indispensable guidance. They are always there to help you and give you as much support as you require during the course.

Currently, I work as a Legal Secretary in a solicitors practise in London. The qualification I have acquires from the programme will allow me to pursue a conversion course in IT Law.

I would definitely recommend this programme to anyone who is looking for flexibility in their studies; especially for people working full time this is an opportunity to extend your horizons."

Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Accountancy Studies

"When I was in high school, many people liked to ask me "What do you want to be five years later?" and I really had no answer to that question at that time. However, Thames Business School has guided me and helped me in getting an exact picture of what I want in life.

The courses offered by the school have put me on a faster track in getting my degree and at the same time, have provided me with a strong knowledge foundation which has helped me to get into a prestigious firm in my early twienties.

In addition to the quality education from the classroom that I got throughout my universities life, I have gone through my school life with solid, irreplaceable friendships of my fellow schoolmates from different countries and with different cultural backgrounds. This has given me a good start to interact with people from different parts of the world. This experience is significant and useful to my career life in the future.

I truly believe that I would not be what I am now without the help and guidance offered by all devoted and passionate lecturers, who have been assisting me in my studies.

I am very pleased with what I have accomplished now with the help of Thames. Now I am ready to set out myself into the real challenging world."

Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering

"The course has enriched my knowledge in the electronics field. As I am from an Instrumentation background, this course serves as a very good opportunity to introduce me to the current technological and practices of the electronics field. As compared to typical grouping of 2~3 individuals for Final Year Project in Local and Australian Universities, NU's Final Year Project emphasizes on independence so accomplishing the project alone helps to train me to be independent and improved my technical knowledge in this field. It is an experience which I would put my 2 thumbs up for it.

This qualification, together with my Bachelor of Business Administration obtained in 2001, vastly improved my career outlook with the versatility of having double majors in two distinct fields of the industry. As my scope of work involved largely on Project Management in petrochemical and semiconductor field, an indepth understanding on both the technical and managment aspects of it greatly enhanced the effectiveness in executing my job. Come September I will be posted to the team responsible for chemical supply to the wafer fabs and the knowledge gained in this course will help me a lot in understanding the nature of business and work for the clients.

I am working for Sumitomo Chemical Engineering Co, Ltd as an Electrical & Instrument Engineer. The company functions as an Engineering Consultancy firm. It provides engineering services and systems to the various petrochemical customers on Jurong Island and wafer fabs in Pasir Ris."
